AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting 2019

One of the best ways to network at AMCP Annual is to volunteer! Choose from the following opportunities.

AMCP Booth Volunteers
Booth volunteers help staff the AMCP Concierge booth at AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting. It’s a great opportunity to connect with existing colleagues but also expand your network with new colleagues. Attendees visit the booth to ask questions about the meeting, membership, and/or AMCP programs and activities. To assist booth volunteers, AMCP staff provides host material including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) before the conference and onsite in the booth. Volunteer shifts are one hour each. Education Session Moderators
Each education session has a volunteer moderator assigned to it. Moderators make housekeeping announcements at the beginning and end of the session, introduce faculty, keep the session on track with scheduled start and end times, facilitate the Q&A period, and ensure that no product endorsements occur during the session. In addition, Moderators are provided with a script to follow. You must be a member and be registered for the AMCP Annual Meeting 2019. Click here for information and to apply. Deadline to apply is February 7, 2019.

Conference Buddy Program
AMCP is seeking conference buddy mentees and mentors. Student pharmacist members, new practitioner members (RFGs or those just graduating) and seasoned pharmacist members are invited to participate in this program being held in conjunction with the AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting. This popular mentoring program is designed to increase visibility and awareness of managed care pharmacy. It matches student pharmacists or new practitioners with a managed care pharmacist. This pairing meets informally during the meeting to discuss the managed care pharmacy industry, pathways to managed care pharmacy careers, and AMCP resources available to help student pharmacists and new practitioners. To participate, individuals must sign up within the meeting registration system. To ensure a match, you must sign up for the program by March 8, 2019. IMPORTANT: AMCP will start the matching program and notify pairings starting March 9. Please expect to hear back at that time and be prepared to contact your assigned mentee or mentor.

AMCP Foundation Best Poster Judge
Poster judges review and score a set of poster abstracts assigned to them prior to the competition. Onsite, the poster judges evaluate a subset of in-person poster presentations, interacting with authors. Based on final scores, the Best Student, Best Resident/Fellow, and Best Graduate Student poster recipients are selected. The AMCP Foundation Best Poster Competition is held on Wednesday, March 27; 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm. For more information, please visit AMCP Foundation Best Poster Competition.
